The restaurant Jolly was opened by the Pagani family in March of 1971, when they
immediately began creating a genuine, informal atmosphere featuring traditional
cuisine. Today, the restaurant (which was awarded with the Ercole d'oro in 2001
for thirty years of operation) seats over 200 and has a no-smoking area, air-conditioned
rooms and a private car park. In 1982, the restaurant's pearl developed inside
it: a pizzeria with a wood stove, where Piero created a warm, inviting atmosphere
for young people. In addition to 60 types of pizza (more than 20 of which were
created by the pizza chef), the menu includes culatello di Zibello (choice cut
Parma ham from Zibello) and numerous first courses made with fresh pasta. Our
well-lit, spacious dining areas are ideal for savouring our gastronomic specialties
in the company of lots and lots of friends!
A year later, with the arrival of Mrs. Montserrat, of Catalan origin, we began
offering Spanish cuisine. Dishes such as paella, fideuada, zarzuela, los pincios,
various desserts and sangria have given the restaurant an Iberian/Spanish touch,
for a melange of Mediterranean cultures and colours!
