HOW TO GET THERE

By Train |
| Parma's station can be reached easily from the south, via Rome - Florence - Bologna
or Genoa - La Spezia, from the northwest, via Venice - Bologna, or Brennero -
Verona - Bologna, and from the northeast, via Turin - Milan. |

By Air |
| Parma is about 160 km from the Malpensa 2000 International Airport, which is
connected to the Parma Airport by a regular shuttle service. Parma's position,
right in the centre of the Po Valley, means it is easy to reach from all of northern
Italy's main airports: Venice (220 km), Verona (160 km), Genoa (220 km), Bologna
(100 km), Florence (200 km). |

By Car |
| The "Parma" exit is on the A1 Milan - Naples motorway, which connects traffic
from France, via Turin, and from Switzerland, via Chiasso - Como, with Campania,
Calabria and Sicily. Travellers from the Adriatic regions, reach Bologna on the
A14, via Bari - Pescara - Ancona - Rimini, while those coming from the Autobrennero,
via Verona, take the A1 to Modena. Those coming from the A15 Parma - La Spezia,
from either the Ventimiglia • Genoa or the Leghorn direction, can leave at the
"Parma Ovest" exit, situated on the A15, or continue along the A1 and leave at
the "Parma" exit. | |
